While the rest were taken with the Canon A1, this set is taken with the Nikkormat ftn. I kind of liked how they turn out more muted and softer, tone-wise, when the Nikkormat is paired with the Kodak Ultramax 400.
Our hike up the Ulsanbawi trail was cold and damp because of the drizzle. The rain, however, did little to dull the autumn display at Seoraksan, reportedly one of the best places to enjoy autumn colours in S.Korea. It was here that I felt completely humbled and defeated by nature, for its magnificence rendered me somewhat helpless in its unwillingness to be recorded completely – and accurately – by technology i.e. my cameras.
Seoraksan turned out to be the highlight of my trip when we visited it in late October last year. We started our trail here amidst the crowd, which proved not to be an issue for it thinned considerably as we ventured inwards.
