If you follow xy’s blog, Mimi, the resident canine love at Parachute Hostel, needs no introduction. These were taken last year when I was in Taipei.

TAIPEI | Paper Plane Cafe – The space

I was told that, while Parachute Hostel is where tourists land for a Taiwan experience, Paper Plane Cafe caters to locals looking for a “travel” experience. That is why the interiors are decorated with maps, postcards, posters, vintage cameras, and even a globe. More on  the food here.

p.s. I have organised my categories a little, replacing the many travel widgets with a Travel page. I’ve done up Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Japan so far. Will put the other countries in the page – soon!

TAIPEI | Paper Plane Cafe – The food

Negative0-05-32A(1)

(Canon A1)

In my 7 days in Taipei, about half of my brunches were had at the Paper Plane cafe, run by the lovely Becky and located at the ground floor of Parachute Hostel where I stayed in. If you are looking for simple, comfort food, or a sip and read away from the chaos of the city, this cafe – just a minute’s walk from the Taipower Building metro station – may well serve as a temporal escape for you.
