Three.

Three big reminders to take with me into 2019:

  1. Do more of the things that make your eyes shine and your heart swell with joy. Listen to your heart closely.
  2. Make time for the ones you love.
  3. Surrender yourself. To experiences. To vulnerabilities. And especially to kindness and help.

Retro Colony

These were taken a fairly long time ago, back when furniture store Retro Colony was still located at this dreamy, light-abundant space off Nemesu Ave. I usually hesitate to use black and white film because I really hate the idea of compromising colour, but I am so glad I popped one into my camera that day. The light streaming in really helped to accentuate the details of the photographed.

RWANDA | Life in black and white 1 /2

I never thought I would visit Rwanda in my lifetime. Not even close. I wasn’t even counting on visiting Africa anytime soon. But when the opportunity presented itself last August, I had to take it. I am so glad to have stepped foot on its soil, and for the remaining roll of black and white Ilford film in the camera that I brought there.

9 posts planned for this beautiful country, including this one.
