I had so much to do last week that I couldn’t find time to write a decent blog post. I was, however, browsing other blogs and getting shifty with excitement over the glorious photos of places I wish I could fly to right away. Paris, Santorini, Cuba, Istanbul etc. They really got me dreaming up my next travel destination.
With more time on hand today, I thought I should start posting some photos from Jan (I know, hello Jun!). We had an event back then and the part that brought me most joy was decorating the room. We adorned it with flowers, handmade banners and photo frames, and more than a hundred balloons in black, gold, and silver.
I’ll be doing a separate post on the building another day. It sits in one of the most culturally-rich areas in Singapore, and has beautiful orange-yellow walls.

Travelling and film photography are some of the things I derive plenty of happiness from. The problem with putting the two together, however, is that I almost never get pictures of myself on film. And this eats me when I am travelling. So I take a self-portrait with my camera to put myself permanently in a place and time I would like to remember.

Some photo frames that I made some time back for an event. If you are interested to do your own, you’ll need fabric, glitter paper, corrugated plastic sheet or cardboard (for the frame), wire (to tie the fabric roses to the frame), scissors, and string/ rope (to hang up the frames).
