I thoroughly enjoyed the architecture and art at Pier 2, the ample skies, and the long evening stroll. It is then fitting to say that I had so much fun there it must be one of the reasons I left a bit of heart in Taiwan.
Previously an old warehouse cluster, Pier 2 is now an art exhibition space and definitely a piece of art in its own right, however I look at it. Its prettiness is further accentuated by the generous blooms growing on fences, wall cracks, and trees – and even the fallen ones, giving the place a surreal quality at sunset. But don’t take my word for it; go see it for yourself.
xy has more pictures of Pier 2 in her blog, especially landscape ones. I don’t seem to do landscapes so well; perhaps that should be my next personal photo assignment.
