Day 1: 雨天
It was raining slightly when I arrived in Taipei.
My companions in Taipei, PZ and XY, introduced me to a very popular café in the 中山 area which is littered with many quaint cafés. This one serves fat, freshly cooked waffles with a generous heap of ice cream and glazed strawberries. I’ve had milk tea ice cubes before but not coffee ones, so it was my first time trying 冰滴咖啡. Must say it grew on me.
A cute shop selling clothes and other mechandise.
It was cold outside with the rain. Even 士林夜市 was visibly emptier of people.
But inside the hostel where I stayed for 2 consecutive nights, everything is warm. From the colours of the walls and the wooden furniture, to the room temperature and the soft yellowish glow in the common area. I love that I could go bare-footed in these premises.
